Giving to CNSM
The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is a leader in both graduate and undergraduate education, and we will continue to prepare our graduates for the employment opportunities in our changing world, but we need your help!
Students in CNSM have unique opportunities to explore the natural laboratory that is Alaska. They conduct world-class research in state-of the-art laboratories, participate in fieldwork throughout the state and world, engage in internships during the summer and academic year, and participate in various outreach activities. Our class sizes are generally small, allowing for more interaction between students and faculty. Our curricula are designed to incorporate these learning experiences into degree programs, preparing our graduates for careers in mathematics and science or for advanced study.
Generous contributions help CNSM deliver quality academic and outreach programs and assist undergraduate and graduate students with their research and travel to conferences.
Your gift today will fund graduate student travel, boost undergraduate research opportunities, increase scholarships for students, purchase equipment for teaching laboratories and expand our pre-college programs. Join me in supporting our college fund, or, if you prefer, you can give directly to one of our departments or other endowed funds.
Our Mission Statement
Through instruction and mentoring, the College of Natural Science and Mathematics promotes students’ self-motivation to excel and guides them towards professional careers and public service in an environment of life-long learning. Through research, the college advances knowledge of natural, physical, technological and numerical systems from a northern perspective. Instruction, mentoring, research and outreach are brought together within undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs to benefit Alaska, the nation and the world.
